Job summary

AIDA-America is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive mechanical design, analysis, and documentation for capital equipment projects in Dayton, OH. You will develop drawings, BOMs, and engineering standards while interfacing with production, purchasing, and customers to ensure designs meet requirements.

The role requires 5–10 years of relevant experience, strong CAD/FEA skills, and knowledge of industry standards.

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent degree.
• 5–10 years engineering experience.
• Experience with capital equipment, machine tools, automation or stamping press design.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFMA and large fabrications.
• Familiarity with OSHA/ANSI/CSA standards.

Responsibilities

• Create effective designs that meet customer specifications and control costs.
• Ensure designs meet operational, safety and company requirements.
• Analyze requirements, develop calculations, prepare layouts and drawings.
• Document and archive analysis results and coordinate with other departments.
• Lead design reviews and manage output of designers/drafters to meet schedules.
