Job summary

AIDA-America in Dayton, OH seeks a skilled assembler to assemble and disassemble production machinery per customer specifications. The role involves modifying existing products and building new ones, requiring extensive use of hand and power tools, assembly drawings, and GD&T.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in capital equipment, familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics and basic electrical assembly, and experience with forklifts and overhead cranes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of capital equipment experience.
• Ability to use hand and power tools; read large assembly drawings; GD&T.
• Thorough understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical assembly.
• Familiar with torque setting equipment, alignment levels and lasers.
• Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

• Check components against BOM before assembly.
• Assemble production equipment per customer specifications.
• Communicate with Team Leader on product/process improvements.
• Report changes to prints due to design errors and manufacturing improvements.
• Complete daily time sheets.
• Participate in electrical assembly as required.
• Travel infrequently to customer sites to install/ troubleshoot.
• Assist Team Leader with training of Mechanical Trainees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
