This role focuses on delivering innovative interior solutions that enhance driver comfort, ergonomics, functionality, quality, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include the development of interior trim systems, instrument panels, center consoles, storage solutions, overhead components, display integrations, switches, bezels, interior plastics, and other cab interior assemblies.
Additional duties include providing engineering assistance, assembly / system design, root cause analysis, problem definition and resolution, training and other engineering duties supporting various aspects of expedited programs.
Additional tasks include completion of design for six sigma documentation in assigned phases of project, tracking costs and applying standard engineering techniques with minimal supervision, occasionally requiring independent evaluation.
