Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of mechanical systems for buildings across multiple sectors. You will direct mechanical design teams, produce construction documents in Revit, and coordinate with architects and other engineers to deliver integrated building solutions.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, with 7+ years of HVAC, plumbing, and fire suppression experience, strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• 7+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer (HVAC, central plants, plumbing, fire suppression).
• Knowledge of the design/construction process and ability to communicate with other disciplines and Revit workflow.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients as part of the integrated design process.
• Create and coordinate documents using Revit.
• Perform mechanical/HVAC calculations including code research.
• Write and review specifications.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs and submittals.
• Conduct site visits when needed.
• Manage mechanical project teams and/or interdisciplinary teams.
