Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of mechanical systems for buildings across sectors such as Higher Education, Culture & Performing Arts, Healthcare, K-12, and more. You will guide mechanical teams to produce construction documents using Revit and manage project schedules to meet deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, including HVAC, plumbing and fire suppression.
• Knowledge of design/construction processes and cross-disciplinary communication.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and building systems coordination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of mechanical building systems for diverse sectors.
• Produce detailed construction documents using Revit and manage schedules.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients within integrated design teams.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals; conduct site visits as needed.
