Textron Systems is seeking a full-time Principal Mechanical Engineer to design, integrate, and manage the lifecycle of mechanical systems for uncrewed air and land platforms.

The role focuses on ruggedized structures, payload mounts, enclosures, and actuators, with responsibilities including 3D modeling, drawings, BOMs, and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 15–20 years of relevant mechanical design experience in aerospace/defense/robotics.
• Experience with ruggedized ground vehicles or autonomous systems.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.

Aufgaben

• Develop mechanical designs for air/ground vehicle structures and subsystems.
• Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and specs.
• Produce assembly drawings for manufacturing and testing.
• Support transition from design to production and troubleshooting.
• Draft technical reports and design reviews.
• Prepare analyses and trade studies for improvements.
