Job summary

Alps Alpine NA, Inc. seeks a senior mechanical design engineer to lead electro-mechanical automotive development. You will craft detailed 3D models and drawings using NX/CATIA and run simulations to validate concepts.

You will collaborate with electrical, software and systems teams to ensure robust designs, document specifications, and support testing, certifications, and customer reviews throughout programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years proven experience in mechanical design, especially electro-mechanical automotive systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software (NX, CATIA) and simulation tools (ANSYS, MATLAB).
• Strong understanding of electrical principles and their application in mechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software.
• Analyze 3D models and drawings for feasibility and integration.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and other teams to integrate systems.
• Conduct analyses and simulations to validate concepts and optimize performance.
• Document design specs, DFMEAs, test plans, and reports.
• Test and troubleshoot prototypes and final products for function and reliability.
• Prepare Technical Design Review materials for customers during quoting.
• Support certification efforts and ensure compliance with quality systems.
