Job summary

Intent Design Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for automotive display integration.

The role focuses on development of cockpit electronics displays integrated into the instrument panel or seat back, with emphasis on manufacturability and adherence to customer specs and industry standards. The candidate should have extensive experience in automotive display packaging, GD&T, DFMEA and collaboration with suppliers for tooling and manufacturing feasibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; post graduate education is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of mechanical engineering in an OEM or Tier-1 automotive environment.
• Experience in Packaging of Automotive Display products or similar.
• Experience / exposure to CAD & PLM software (Teamcenter, CATIA, NX or similar).
• Familiarity with FMVSS, IATF/TS16949 and ISO/IEC requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops Mechanical product designs for automotive Displays integrated to Instrument Panel or Seat back.
• Selects materials & performs calculations for mass, strength and performance targets.
• Provides GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis; approves 3D & 2D drawings.
• Supports DFMEA creation and upkeep; assists NVH related studies.
• Coordinate with suppliers on manufacturing feasibility and tooling.
• Travel to customer engineering centers and manufacturing sites as needed during product launch.
