Job summary

Key Technical Solutions, Inc. is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to design automation machinery, robotic cells, and material handling systems.

You will develop 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks and oversee mechanical design scope across customized projects to ensure performance, cost, and schedule targets. You will support fabrication, testing, and installation while guiding risk assessment and interface management within a cross-functional design team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Tech or related field.
• 3 years of 3D CAD design experience including modeling and automation systems design.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualizes and designs highly complex automation machinery, robotic cells and material handling systems.
• Creates 3D part/assembly models and details drawings for manufacture using SolidWorks.
• Manages the scope of work for mechanical design on customized projects, including planning and supervising project work.
• Supports fabrication, testing and installation activities to ensure conformance to design and customer specs.
• Provides guidance in technical risk evaluation, functional composition, and interface management.
• Delivers complete and accurate designs within the allotted time.
• Supports sales activities including initial customer meetings, design conceptualization, hours estimating and quote generation.
