Job summary

Partners Personnel seeks a Mechanical Systems Engineer to design and support robotic cells, machinery, and automated manufacturing systems. You will own mechanical designs from concept through production and field deployment, coordinating with controls, robotics, manufacturing, and service teams to deliver safe, reliable equipment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years of machinery design experience, and proficiency in SolidWorks or Inventor.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of equipment or machinery design experience.
• At least 3 years of professional experience with SolidWorks or Inventor.
• Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience troubleshooting machinery in production environments.
• Travel to customer sites is required as needed for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design equipment, end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), fixtures, frames, guarding, and supporting structures using 3D CAD.
• Integrate conveyors, actuators, sensors, pneumatics, cabling, and safety devices into complete systems.
• Create production drawings, bills of materials, build instructions, and technical documentation.
• Apply engineering principles including motion, tolerance, structural, and manufacturability analysis; consider hygienic design where required.
• Support prototype builds, testing, factory acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, and startup.
• Troubleshoot production and customer-site issues; identify root causes and implement improvements.
