Job summary

Mercor is seeking senior mechanical engineering professionals to craft evaluation tasks for AI systems in Fortune 500 enterprise product design and manufacturing contexts. The work spans two standards tracks: US (ASME) and International (ISO).

Experts in either or both tracks are encouraged to apply, designing scenarios, rubrics, and reference outputs for senior leadership in large manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a mechanical engineer or lead at a Fortune 500/industrial company.
• Direct ownership of large-scale product designs or manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of safety standards and cross-functional design governance.
• Professional engineering credential (PE or international equivalent) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Construct enterprise mechanical engineering scenarios for complex product design cycles at F500 accounts.
• Build tasks across CAD modeling, thermal/fluid, structural analysis, manufacturing process engineering, and reliability analysis.
• Develop scenarios using tools like SolidWorks, ANSYS, CATIA, MATLAB/Simulink, and PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill).
• Apply FEA/CFD, DFM/DFA, Six Sigma/DFSS, GD&T per ASME Y14.5 or ISO GPS.
• Author rubrics distinguishing enterprise judgment from coursework.
