Job summary

Magee Technologies (MTech) seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, integration, sustainment, and modernization of critical mechanical systems for military aircraft in Maryland. You will act as the technical authority for complex aircraft modifications, prototype development, airworthiness substantiation, and production support, ensuring adherence to defense standards and mission readiness.

The role requires independent judgment, CAD modeling in PTC Creo, GD&T expertise, and

Qualifications

BA/BS in Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in mechanical engineering.
Experience in aerospace or military applications.
Proficient in CAD design and drafting.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead design, integration, sustainment, and modernization of critical mechanical systems.
Serve as technical authority for aircraft modifications and prototypes.
Develop 3D models and drawings per ASME Y14 standards.
Apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and manage TDPs.
Mentor junior engineers and lead multidisciplinary teams.
Support manufacturing, testing, and maintenance processes.
Perform hand calculations for structural modifications.
