Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC/mechanical system design from concept through permit and construction documents.
• Develop/oversee load calculations, equipment selection, duct/piping design, and controls sequences.
• Produce and review drawings/specifications.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Plumbing, Architectural, Structural, Civil, and process/vendor teams.
• Coordinate fire and life safety integration with mechanical systems and code interfaces.
• Support permitting: respond to AHJ comments, revise plans, and attend plan check meetings.
• Provide construction administration: RFIs, submittals, site walks, punch lists, closeout support.
• Seal/Stamp as Engineer of Record; participate in client meetings and marketing content.

The role also supports proposals, client presentations, and business development/marketing activities.

• Lead HVAC/mechanical system design from concept through permit and construction documents.
• Develop and/or oversee load calculations, equipment selection, duct/piping design, and controls sequences.
• Produce and review drawings/specifications.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Plumbing, Architectural, Structural, Civil, and process/vendor teams.
• Coordinate fire and life safety integration with mechanical systems, including smoke control concepts, fire/smoke damper requirements, equipment shutdown sequences, and other code-required HVAC interfaces.
• Support permitting: respond to AHJ comments, revise plans, and attend plan check meetings as needed.
• Provide construction administration: RFIs, submittals, site walks, punch lists, closeout support.

Sealing/Stamping

• Serve as Engineer of Record for mechanical scope and sign/seal project documents in accordance with applicable state laws, licensing board rules, and responsible charge requirements.
• Participate in client meetings, technical presentations, and project pursuit activities.
• Help develop qualifications packages, case studies, and technical content for marketing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HVAC/mechanical design experience (industrial/mission critical preferred).
• Active U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license (Mechanical).
• Proven ability to lead designs, coordinate disciplines, and produce permit/CD packages.

Preferred

• Industrial project / Data center mechanical experience (e.g., redundant cooling concepts, chilled water/air-cooled systems, etc.).
• Multi-state licensure or ability to obtain via comity.
• Bilingual Mandarin/English ability preferred, but not required
