Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (PE) to lead the design and delivery of mechanical systems for industrial, commercial, manufacturing, and mission-critical projects.

You will provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, and oversee projects from planning and design through construction and commissioning, while collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) and active PE license.
• 8+ years of mechanical design experience supporting commercial/industrial facilities.
• Revit expertise required.
• Strong HVAC, piping, utility systems, and equipment design background.
• Experience with BIM coordination and multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC, and mechanical codes.
• Proven project leadership and mentoring experience.
• Strong analytical skills to optimize mechanical systems.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, food & beverage, or mission-critical projects.
• Exposure to controls/automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs).
• Energy modeling, commissioning, FEL/FEED experience.
• Client-facing experience including proposals and account growth.
• AutoCAD and Bluebeam experience.

• Lead the design of HVAC, piping, utility, and facility infrastructure systems
• Serve as a technical lead and SME on complex projects
• Perform calculations, equipment selection, system sizing, and engineering documentation
• Support project planning, client meetings, design reviews, and commissioning efforts
