Job summary

Envirogen is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with water treatment or liquid processing expertise to lead project execution from concept through delivery. You will collaborate with project management to ensure drawings, BOMs, and equipment selections meet contract requirements and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (ME or ChE) from an accredited four-year university.
  • Experience in water/wastewater or fluid process engineering.
  • Experience with AutoCAD; applications a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Team-oriented and customer-focused.
  • Organized and self-directed.

Responsibilities

  • Drive execution of Capital Projects within budget, schedule and to customer's satisfaction.
  • Review and approve drawings including P&ID, fabrication, single line, schematics, and other project related drawings.
  • Review BOMs for equipment / component design for compliance with engineering principles, contract requirements, and applicable standards.
  • Perform pump design & selection, hydraulic calculations, valve selections, instrumentation selection, and other equipment selection that meet contractual requirements and applicable standards.
  • Assemble, review, and / or approve specifications, data sheets, or other detailed information for specific components related to the project.
  • Specifying materials for purchasing including identifying vendors, initiating requests for quotation, making best price/best value purchasing determinations, specification compliance and tracking delivery of material.
  • Attend customer meetings / vendor meetings and offer meaningful input as it relates to the project.
  • Assist in the gathering of costs for equipment, labor estimates, subcontractor estimates, and other costs in preparation of proposals and commercial quotes.

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer experienced in the water or wastewater field or in liquid processing to join our growing business. As the senior Engineer you will work closely with the project management team in the overall execution of projects ranging from $1 - $20m and be responsible for the engineering support and deliverables required for a given project.

About the role

About you

  • Demonstrated engineering experience in the water or wastewater field or fluid process engineering
  • Experience with AutoCAD and applications is a plus
