Qualifications

Base Salary: Up to $150,000 plus Annual Bonus

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join an innovative engineering team supporting mission-critical technology and defense applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in mechanical design, product development, 3D CAD modeling, and prototype testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and integrated systems.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Support prototyping, 3D printing, laboratory testing, and product validation.
• Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, quality, and supplier engineering teams.
• Drive product reliability, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 8 to 10+ years of mechanical design and product development experience.
• Hands-on experience with SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, and tolerance analysis.
• Proficiency with Visio and 3D printing.
• Experience with prototyping, laboratory testing, validation, and root cause analysis.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FEA, thermal analysis, or computational modeling.
• Knowledge of sheet metal, castings, machined components, and plastics.
• Experience with electromechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with reliability engineering and environmental testing.
• Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing and working with suppliers.
