Qualifications

• 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Engineering degree required.
• Experience in electro-mechanical product development.
• Experience with DFM/DFA and supplier coordination.
• Strong CAD skills, Creo preferred.

Job description

Electro-mechanical product development team is seeking a Value OR Mechanical Engineer with experience updating and optimizing product considering customer feedback, regulatory compliance, or value improvements. We are seeking a hands on engineer who loves solving problems and translating customer needs/regulatory updates, and cost improvements into robust, reliable manufacturable product solutions.

Responsibilities

• Update and Improve design according to reliability, regulatory compliance and value
• Design Experience with injection-molded, castings, and machined components using 3D CAD tools.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure DFM/DFA and robust product performance.
• Experience with DFM/DFA, supplier coordination, and manufacturing optimization
• Evaluate processes and designs to improve product quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with 4+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience.

Required Skills

• Strong background in product development (complex, electro-mechanical product design).
• Strong CAD modeling (preferably Creo).
• Hands-on experience with injection molding, castings, and machined components.
• Experience with DFM/DFA, supplier coordination, and manufacturability optimization.
• Experience with Value Engineering and cost.
• The team is based about 30 minutes north of Chicago, IL. This is mostly an on-site role.
