INX International is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to guide facility and manufacturing improvement projects, develop plans, and prepare budgets with ROI analysis.

You will support maintenance with troubleshooting, test new equipment, and modify processes. The role requires travel up to 25% and a strong background in mechanical and chemical process environments.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
• 10+ years of related industry experience in chemical or process manufacturing industries.
• Proficient in creating and reading electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings using Autocad.
• Advanced troubleshooting of mechanical/motion/hydraulic systems; basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Understand the basic use of instrumentation devices, programmable controllers and their roles.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
• 3D modeling experience (Solidworks, Fusion 360, Navis Works) is a plus.

Job Description

This role offers a range of $110,000 - $127,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations.

We are seeking a Senior MechanicalEngineer to work with our Engineering team. This position manages facility and manufacturing improvement projects, develops plans, and produces project budgets including ROI calculations. This person supports the maintenance department in troubleshooting building and equipment repairs; conducts testing of new equipment, as well as making modifications to existing processes and equipment. This role works in conjunction with operations management in making modifications to processes and equipment work instructions, along with training other employees.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Testing and developing new equipment
• Improving/refining existing equipment
• Using Project Management to incorporate design and budgets for projects
• Maintaining a physical and direct functional and supportive role with multiple facility Maintenance and Manufacturing groups
• Assisting INX plant maintenance with advanced troubleshooting
• Providing floor support to troubleshoot process problems using continuous improvement and root cause analysis techniques
• Ensuring that products and systems comply with applicable codes
• Reporting routine activities on a monthly basis, keeping relevant staff members up-to-date more frequently on rapidly moving projects
• Initiating or supplying documentation for capital projects using TPM tools used within the EEM pillar and the six-step management methodology
• Supporting all new equipment and processes with in-house training classes, as determined by the department's and the company's needs

Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

• Have a BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related degree
• Have at least 10 years of related industry experience in chemical or process manufacturing industries
• Be proficient in creating and reading electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings using Autocad
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of mechanical/motion/hydraulic systems and solve other problems as encountered. Have basic troubleshooting knowledge of electrical systems
• Understandthe basic use of instrumentation devices, programmable controllers and their associated roles with system operation
• Assist in the trouble shooting of instrumentation devices and PLC's and be able to help identify the source of the problem
• Have the ability to travel up to 25%, as needed

In addition to these qualifications, we willconsider it a plus if you have:

• Experience in 3D modeling AKA Solidworks, Fusion 360, Navis Works
• Chemical manufacturing background preferred
