Real, a growing life sciences organization, seeks an experienced Senior Engineering Manager / Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead engineering operations in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

This role focuses on ensuring safe, reliable operation of critical production equipment while driving continuous improvement across engineering, operations, quality, and R&D, supporting audits and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing.
• 3–5+ years of leadership experience managing technical or engineering teams.
• Experience leading equipment qualification, process validation, change control, and capital projects.
• Knowledge of equipment reliability and operational excellence in regulated environments.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team and manage project priorities.
• Oversee troubleshooting, root cause investigations, preventive maintenance, calibrations, qualifications, and validation activities.
• Drive capital projects including facility upgrades and capacity expansion.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, and R&D to support production goals and resolve technical challenges.

A growing life sciences organization is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager / Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead engineering operations within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of critical production equipment while driving continuous improvement initiatives across engineering, operations, quality, and R&D functions.

This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on facility performance, equipment reliability, process optimization, and future expansion projects while working in an environment that supports products ultimately reaching patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team while managing project priorities and departmental objectives.
• Oversee equipment troubleshooting, root cause investigations, preventive maintenance, calibrations, qualifications, and validation activities.
• Drive capital projects involving facility upgrades, equipment improvements, and capacity expansion initiatives.
• Partner closely with Operations, Quality, and R&D teams to support production goals and resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements, quality systems, and regulatory expectations while supporting audits and inspections.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
