We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Advanced Energy/Generation & Energy Management Team from any of the following CHA office locations: Albany, NY; Syracuse, NY; Rochester, NY; or Boston, MA.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer in this position is required to provide advanced judgment and analysis techniques for the design development and technical analysis of various systems to suit individual client needs. This key role is responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff. This person must also be capable of directing junior engineers and leading the day-to-day activity of a small team working on the project. The professional in this role would also work with and mentor junior staff members and provide technical review of their work as needed.

REQUIREMENTS




    Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Minimum 10 years' progressive engineering experience required
  • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline(s) with a proven ability to practically apply best practices
  • Proficient in MS Office software required
  • Understands QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Familiar with and advocates for the company's standards for quality control and compliance
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Active participation in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
  • Proven ability to lead a team
  • Other duties as assigned





SALARY RANGE:




$105,000-$126,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
