Insight Global is seeking an experienced Mechanical Drafter to support rapid development of advanced manufacturing equipment used in TRISO fuel production and microfluidic processing systems. Working with senior engineers, you will convert evolving concepts into clear, manufacturable drawing packages with strong SolidWorks proficiency and GD&T application.

Qualifications

5+ years of mechanical drafting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Advanced SolidWorks proficiency.
Strong knowledge of GD&T principles and engineering drawing standards.
Experience creating fabrication-ready drawings for machined, welded, and sheet metal components.
Ability to convert engineering concepts into complete manufacturing drawing packages.
Strong understanding of manufacturing methods and fabrication processes.
Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Convert CAD models and sketches into clear, manufacturable drawing packages.
Create detailed part, weldment, and assembly drawings, BOMs, and fabrication packs.
Apply GD&T principles and proper tolerancing; manage revisions and docs.
Support design reviews and rapid design iterations as equipment evolves.
Identify manufacturability concerns before drawing release.
Collaborate with senior engineers in a production-focused environment.
