The role involves cross-discipline coordination, vendor interaction, and delivering compliant, high-quality mechanical systems.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in mechanical engineering, strong communication, and experience in Oil & Gas.

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
EIT certification or higher preferred.
PE license and multi-state registration desirable.
ABET accreditation of program preferred.
10+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
Oil & Gas industry experience highly recommended.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate.

Responsibilities

Lead a discipline engineering team on projects with minimal guidance.
Review and check designs; assist in development of design guides and specifications.
Serve as the lead Engineer or technical expert on medium to large projects; plan and manage engineering activities.
Maintain project budgets and schedules.
Perform engineering calculations and develop analysis models.
Mentor less experienced engineers and develop specs and data sheets.
Coordinate with vendors and other disciplines; participate in design reviews.
Develop material requisitions and bid evaluations; ensure conformance to codes.
Visit vendor facilities and sites as necessary.
