Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to support the sustainment group in Rancho Bernardo, CA. Under general direction, you will provide technical design solutions for complex problems using CREO, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or NX, and lead junior designers.

Responsibilities include documenting findings, presenting results to engineering staff, and ensuring conformance to design standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certificate in CREO/SolidWorks/AutoCAD/NX with 13+ years CAD experience.
• 5+ years using CREO/SolidWorks/AutoCAD/NX in engineering design.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in developing design solutions for structural products and components.
• Interacts with engineering staff on design concepts and progress.
• Revise CAD drawings per ECN redlines and Windchill workflow, including large assemblies.
