Stellant Systems Inc. in Torrance, CA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the onsite Drafting and Design group. You will create CAD models and drawings, lead design projects, and ensure conformance to space design standards and manufacturing processes.

The role requires advanced CAD skills (Creo/Siemens NX/CATIA), strong GD&T knowledge, and excellent communication abilities for cross‑functional collaboration within the team and with program managers and manufacturing personnel.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Level II–V experience as required by seniority.
• Advanced CAD experience with Creo/Siemens NX/CATIA; Creo preferred.
• Strong GD&T expertise for datum features, true positions, runout, flatness, profile and parallelism.
• Familiarity with space design standards and design for manufacturing.
• Senior level checker experience.
• Effective communication skills in presentations and emails.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work in cross‑functional teams with program managers, engineers and manufacturing.
• Familiarity with 3D printing.
• Understanding of machining, fabrication and manufacturing processes.

Responsabilidades

• Create CAD models and drawings with dimension schemes using GD&T.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop products to design specs and standards.
• Independently design tooling solutions for space product manufacture.
• Lead design projects, collect information, solve manufacturing and design problems with minimal oversight.
• Make changes authorized by Engineering Change Notices.
• Check accuracy of other designers’ work.
