Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sr Mechanical Designer to support the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for semiconductor manufacturing facilities. This role will focus on base-build facility design and tool installation projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver constructible solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit for mechanical design.
• Experience with semiconductor projects including tool installation.
• Familiar with building and process systems design and calculations.
• Ability to coordinate with process, electrical, structural, and architectural teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical system designs, layouts, and construction documents.
• Prepare mechanical plans including piping, HVAC, utility routing, and installation drawings.
• Support semiconductor facility projects including tool installation and base-build infrastructure design.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with process, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Review project requirements and ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and client specs.
• Assist with field verification, site walks, and coordination with construction teams.
• Perform calculations including airflow, pressure drop, equipment sizing, and utility demand.
• Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations to improve constructability and performance.
• Maintain project schedules and deliver high-quality drawing packages on time.
• Collaborate to improve design standards, workflows, and documentation quality.
