Job summary

Starkey Hearing in Minnesota seeks a senior mechanical design engineer to develop complex product concepts for production release. You will leverage Creo Parametric to create accurate models and drawings, collaborating with engineers and suppliers to meet performance, manufacturability and cost goals.

The role emphasizes design verification, supplier coordination, and continuous improvement, ensuring high-quality, reliable hearing technology components.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Design & Drafting; required.
• 10+ years of mechanical design experience; hearing/medical devices preferred.
• Advanced GD&T and injection molded design knowledge is required.
• Strong understanding of DFMEA/DOE/FEA and product development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Conceives highly complex product design concepts and prepares models using Creo Parametric.
• Work with engineers and project leaders to translate concepts into production-ready designs.
• Create accurate CAD drawings and communicate design intent to ensure quality.
• Review supplier models and integrate designs from cross‑functional teams.
• Lead design reviews and contribute to DFMEA documentation.
• Support prototype and production debugging to verify form, fit and function.
