Job summary

Pro Staff seeks a Senior Mechanical Designer in Marlborough, MA to lead complex industrial design projects. You will advance CAD models, piping layouts, and structural designs for large-scale equipment while collaborating across departments and mentoring junior designers.

The role requires Navisworks and AutoCAD expertise, strong drafting knowledge, and the ability to manage vendor deliverables. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate/Technical degree or equivalent design experience required.
• Knowledge of mechanical drafting and industrial design standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise 2D drawings, 3D models, piping layouts, equipment assemblies, and structural designs.
• Generate bills of materials, isometric drawings, layouts, and fabrication details.
• Perform design reviews to ensure compliance with customer requirements and standards.
• Conduct Navisworks model integration and clash detection reviews.
• Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, construction teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead design efforts during proposal and project execution phases.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and drawing deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to design team members.
