Job summary

Technical Staffing Resources, on behalf of one of the country’s largest EPC firms, has an opening for a Piping Designer in Marlborough, MA. This long-term contract position involves fieldwork, developing detailed scopes, and designing piping systems from P&IDs.

You will create isometrics and pipe supports, ensure code compliance and safety, and interface with other disciplines. AutoCAD experience is required, with 3D or Plant 3D preferred; MS Office and SharePoint familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in the design and layout of process piping and equipment in chemical facilities or refineries.
• AutoCAD experience required; 3D or PLANT preferred. MS Office, SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform fieldwork, pull measurements, locate tie-ins, as-built existing systems, and develop detailed scopes.
• Work from P&IDs, client specifications and vendor data to design complex piping systems for a chemical facility.
• Create isometrics and pipe supports.
• Ensure that the completed design is functional, maintainable and designed with safety and that all applicable codes have been followed.
• Interface with other disciplines.
