Gradian Thermal Solutions in Maple Grove, MN, seeks a Senior Designer, Mechanical, to create blueprints, 3D models, and manufacturing packages for HVAC systems, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams. You will lead 3D modeling in SolidWorks, drive sheet metal design, manage revisions and BOMs, mentor junior designers, and develop installation and maintenance drawings for field use.

Requires 7+ years in mechanical design, strong CAD skills, and knowledge of manufacturing

Qualifications

• 7+ years of mechanical design experience in HVAC or equipment manufacturing.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and 2D CAD for detailed drawings.
• Strong collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage revisions, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead creation of complex 3D models of HVAC equipment and assemblies.
• Drive sheet metal design using SolidWorks and best practices.
• Oversee manufacturing packages: shop drawings, instructions, fabrication docs.
• Mentor junior designers and support cross-functional teams.
