Job summary

Gradian Thermal Solutions in Maple Grove, MN, seeks a Mechanical Designer to create 3D models and detailed manufacturing packages for HVAC systems and components. You will collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure design intent and manufacturability, while delivering accurate documentation.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in mechanical design, strong SolidWorks skills, and experience with manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and manuals.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of progressive mechanical design experience, preferably in HVAC or equipment manufacturing.
• Strong 2D CAD and 3D modeling capabilities with attention to manufacturability.
• Ability to develop production and installation manuals.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3D model creation for HVAC equipment and assemblies.
• Develop detailed shop drawings, assembly instructions, and fabrication docs.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve design issues.
• Maintain design data and BOMs with strict revision control.
• Create installation and maintenance drawings and guides.
