Trane Technologies is seeking a Designer IV to lead mechanical design for HVAC components, developing 3D models and production drawings and guiding documentation from concept to production.

Qualifications

• 10+ years mechanical design experience with an Associate degree.
• 7+ years mechanical design experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• HVAC, industrial equipment, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and design for manufacturability concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of 3D models, production drawings, and engineering documentation for HVAC components.
• Translate product requirements into manufacturable, cost-effective design solutions.
• Drive design execution from concept through production release.
• Champion design improvements for performance, reliability, and serviceability.
• Apply advanced mechanical design knowledge to guide robust engineering solutions.
• Establish and reinforce drafting standards for accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align design with program goals.
• Own bills of materials, drawing revisions, and controlled documentation.
• Lead complex projects, provide technical direction, and resolve design issues.
• Mentor CAD users and promote best practices.
