Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Advanced Technology division. You will contribute to the design of cutting-edge industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities, collaborating with designers, engineers, and project managers to develop innovative solutions while ensuring adherence to specifications and schedules.

Responsibilities include developing plans and models for piping, HVAC, and building systems, coordinating across disciplines, and supporting field

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associate degree in engineering or architectural fields is a plus.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit is required.
• Familiarity with HVAC design standards and codes is preferred.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver constructible designs.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models per project requirements.
• Lead the design of industrial and high-tech facilities including piping, HVAC, chillers, boilers, exhaust systems, and mechanical building services.
• Design HVAC systems to meet environmental specifications and code requirements.
• Ensure CAD standards are followed and quality controlled across the team.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and architects to resolve design issues and RFIs.
• Conduct field verifications and integrate site findings into design packages.
