CalTek in Arcadia, California is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to lead mechanical concepts from initial idea through fabrication drawings and production support. The role blends hands-on CAD modeling with basic engineering calculations, collaborating with project managers, fabrication teams, customers, and external engineers.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of mechanical design experience, proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD, and a solid understanding of GD&T and manufacturing

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant mechanical design experience.
• Proficient with mechanical CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Experience designing custom machinery or fabricated assemblies.
• Ability to perform basic stress and material calculations.

Responsabilités

• Develop mechanical concepts, components, assemblies, and systems for custom machinery and entertainment applications.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings.
• Perform basic stress and material calculations to support sizing and material selection.
• Design and integrate pneumatic and hydraulic components into assemblies.
• Coordinate with outside engineers and project teams for analysis and approvals.
• Translate project requirements into functional mechanical designs.
• Prepare technical documentation and manufacturing instructions.
• Support design reviews and coordination with leadership and engineers.
