Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd in Brown Deer, WI invites a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our elite OEM team focused on custom robotic cells and machine architecture. You will own ground-up design from concept through integration, leading multi-disciplinary teams in SolidWorks 3D models and assembly drawings for high-speed automation.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Mechanical Engineering or 5–10 years of experience in heavy machinery design, strong SolidWorks fluency, and a track record of

Qualifications

• BSME or 5–10 years of verifiable, ground-up custom equipment design experience in heavy machinery/high-speed automation.
• Expert fluency with SolidWorks for large assemblies and production-ready drawings.
• US work authorization; local residency within driving radius of Brown Deer, WI.

Responsibilities

• Lead ground-up machine architecture and design integrity for high-speed automation and robotic work cells.
• Develop concepts and quote with Project Managers for cost-effective automated solutions.
• Direct internal detailers/designers and coordinate with external fabrication partners on milestones.
• Integrate fluid power and drive systems; select hydraulics, pneumatics, and servo systems as needed.
• Conduct early design reviews to ensure safety and ergonomic compliance prior to shop release.
• Serve as technical contact for global clients while managing BOM releases and on-floor issue resolution.
