Job summary

CalTek Staffing is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer in Arcadia, CA to develop mechanical designs from concept through fabrication drawings and production support.

This hands-on role involves CAD modeling, basic engineering calculations, and collaboration with project managers, fabrication teams, customers, and outside engineers. A degree or PE is not required, with relevant training and experience considered.

Qualifications

• At least four years of relevant mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Experience designing custom machinery and fabrication documentation.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic components and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts, components, assemblies, and systems for custom machinery.
• Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and bills of materials.
• Perform basic stress and material calculations.
• Design and integrate pneumatic and hydraulic components into assemblies.
• Coordinate with outside engineers and project teams for reviews and approvals.
• Prepare technical documentation and manufacturing instructions.
• Support fabrication teams during production.
