Job Role

• Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies related to Aero-engines in various electronic data formats, including 2D cross sections and 3D models, to support engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
• Develop new design models for support equipment used in Gas Turbine assembly, disassembly, and repair.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to determine dimensional constraints and tolerances, ensuring proper fit and function while optimizing manufacturability and reliability.
• Ensure designs meet stakeholder requirements.
• Work with assembly models in Vismockup, position and save models to the Digital Engine, and maintain up-to-date digital engine builds.
• Complete complex design models, perform freeform and parametric modeling, and check detailed drawings.
• Utilize geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards (ANSI Y14.5) for parts and assemblies.
• Lead product definition initiatives to improve quality and speed, and develop checklists and review mechanisms for delivery excellence.
• Possess working knowledge of CAD, CAM, manufacturing processes, specifically in Siemens NX and Teamcenter environments.
• Manage project scopes within budgets and schedules, deliver quality work, and provide project status updates.
• Adhere to applicable policies, procedures, engineering standards, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain operational excellence on assigned programs, focusing on metrics, partner interaction, on-time delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
• Document technical data in accordance with engineering policies and procedures.

Some local travel required.

Qualifications

• BS or associate degree in engineering technology from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of 3D modeling experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in 3D modeling.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand GD&T.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset.
• Eligibility for security clearance (U.S. Citizen).

Desired but not required:

• Experience with Aero-engine or Gas turbine component modeling.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Enjoyment of working with diverse, dynamic teams.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Primarily office-based with occasional shop floor involvement. Extensive use of telephone, video conferencing, and computers. Strict adherence to procedures in a heavily regulated industry. Flexibility to meet deadlines by adjusting work hours. Typical 8-hour days, 40-hour workweeks, core hours 9AM-4PM. Ability to travel to customer locations using personal transportation. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and able to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.

Compensation

Full package depends on experience and certifications. Pay ranges from $75,000 to $95,000 USD.
