Job description

Resonant Sciences LLC has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Dayton, Ohio team. The position offers an opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, elite team dedicated to supporting our Nation's War Fighters. The ideal candidate is a self-starter capable of working independently with minimal guidance, and will collaborate with a team of talented engineers, technicians, and professionals to develop cutting-edge technologies.

Position Overview

The Mechanical Engineer will support hardware development within a multidisciplinary engineering team, focusing on designing, building, and testing radomes, antennas, test fixtures, and electronic systems. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, testing, and validating mechanical designs.
  • Creating and modifying structures using 3-D models and assemblies.
  • Applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Understanding materials testing and characterization.
  • Conducting requirements analysis, conceptual and detailed design, drawing release, and fabrication support.
  • Assessing and mitigating design risks.
  • Working efficiently without direct supervision.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience or an advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience with metallic and composite materials.
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience in technical presentations.
Citizenship and Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required. Must be eligible for a Secret security clearance; active clearance preferred.
