Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Warrenville, IL invites a Mechanical Designer to join our Nuclear Power Group in a hybrid role blending in-office and remote work. You will develop mechanical general arrangement, piping isometrics, and equipment layouts in a 3-D plant model using SmartPlant S3D.

You will lead the mechanical design team, resolve model clashes, ensure deliverables meet engineering requirements, and mentor junior drafters and designers while coordinating with multi-discipline project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of detailed design in mechanical plant drawings.
• Experience with 3D plant layout modeling and tools.
• Ability to lead a mechanical design team and coordinate with disciplines.
• Proficiency with SmartPlant S3D; SPID/SPF integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design team and coordinate detailed design phases.
• Resolve clashes and discrepancies in the 3D model.
• Provide guidance to junior drafters and designers.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline project teams to meet requirements.
• Plan and execute mechanical deliverables independently.
