Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required; PE preferred.
• 8+ years design experience for HVAC systems in varied facilities.
• Familiarity with NYC engineering standards and codes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, REVIT, and MS Office; e-Builder desirable.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering design for moderate to complex projects.
• Conduct site inspections, surveys, and evaluations to inform design.
• Develop design alternatives, perform system analyses, and support planning.
• Prepare drawings, specs, and contract documents in compliance with codes.
• Develop cost estimates, manage budgets, and support procurement.
• Coordinate with teams, clients, and stakeholders for project delivery.
• Provide construction support, submittals, RFIs, and field issue resolution.
• Oversee construction supervision and ensure technical quality.
• Exercise independent judgment on complex technical challenges.
