Ideal candidates have 7+ years in mechanical design, strong GD&T knowledge, and experience with SolidWorks or Creo. Travel for launches is expected, with safety compliance and mentoring responsibilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required.
7+ years designing mechanical systems and assemblies.
5+ years 3D solid modeling of components and assemblies.
3+ years applying GD&T in drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

Design and analyze complex mechanical systems (high-load structures, suspensions, chassis).
Develop, release, and revise mechanical drawings and 3D models.
Ensure designs are safe, manufacturable, reliable, and SPARC-cost conscious.
Perform component inspections and system verification/testing.
Meet project timelines and budgets; lead with external partners.
Coach and mentor engineers to advance skills within the team.
Drive continuous improvement in design procedures and protocol.
Travel domestically and internationally for product launches.
Adhere to safety rules and report incidents promptly.
