Job summary

KLA Milpitas, CA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for architecture, design, development, integration, and release of advanced semiconductor inspection and metrology systems.

The role combines deep technical depth in precision mechanical systems with proven people leadership, cross-functional influence, and product execution expertise.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in precision mechanical design and opto-mechanical systems.
• Experience with FEA and tolerance analysis.
• Ability to lead and operate in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex mechanical and opto-mechanical subsystems for semiconductor capital equipment.
• Guide teams through complete product development cycles.
• Drive Design-for-X principles including manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, cost, quality, and performance.
• Manage engineering resources, schedules, budgets, priorities, and risks.
• Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and achieve program objectives.
• Build organizational capability through recruiting, coaching, and talent development.
