Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a defense/aerospace client. The role covers design, development, integration and testing of advanced mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, including precision mechanisms and complex assemblies.

You will work across the product lifecycle with a hands-on approach, moving from conceptual design to hardware testing. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, 6+ years of experience, TS/SCI with Poly clearance, and strong Creo CAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical design.
• TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
• Proficiency with CAD tools, Creo.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
• Experience with materials testing, actuators, custom gear trains, electro-optical systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive mechanical design efforts from concept through qualification.
• Ensure performance, reliability, manufacturability and compliance with program requirements.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering team throughout the product lifecycle.
• Takes ownership of technical challenges in fast-paced development environments.
