Boeing is seeking Mechanical Design Engineers to support environmental test design in Berkeley, MO. You will design test rigs, fixtures, and subsystems for military aircraft programs, coordinating with lab teams and other engineers to deliver test-ready hardware.

Roles range from mid to senior level, with opportunities to work on T-7A, F-15, F/A-18, MQ-25 and more, while navigating lab infrastructure, instrumentation, and safety requirements.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a mechanical, civil, aerospace, or materials focus.
• 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent education/experience.
• 3+ years using Model Based Engineering tools such as Maya, 3DX, Blender, CATIA or other 3D CAD software.

Mansioni

• Develop mechanical design criteria from customer test objectives/specifications.
• Design mechanical systems, test apparatus, and interfaces to integrate test articles with lab infrastructure.
• Create detailed CAD models to support design reviews and fit verification/assembly checks.
• Evaluate material options and fabrication approaches.
• Create detailed fabrication drawings and associated documentation.
• Integrate instrumentation and sensor hardware into mechanical designs.
• Conduct stress, modal, thermal, and fluid-dynamics analyses on test hardware.
• Provide on-site installation guidance and technical direction to lab personnel during hardware inspection, check-out, and test execution.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, test engineers, and technicians.
