Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years designing mechanical engineering products (medical devices preferred).
• Experience with high-precision mechanisms and electromechanical systems.
• Ability to drive new product ideas from concept to launch in regulated environments.
• Strong CAD skills, especially SolidWorks, for complex assemblies and manufacturing docs.
• Proficient with rapid prototyping techniques.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robotic surgical instrument systems in a cross-functional team.
• Translate user needs into design solutions, prototypes, and verification activities.
• Create mechanical architectures, test methods, and design reviews.
• Generate manufacturing documentation, BOMs, and drawings.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical reviews and risk analyses.
• Collaborate with software, electrical, systems, and manufacturing teams.
• Stay current with tech advances and contribute to IP strategy.
