Talent 101, Inc. seeks a senior Mechanical Design Engineer to drive RF amplifier design for defense applications. You will develop high-power subsystems, LRUs, and chassis, collaborating with RF, electrical, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, qualified hardware.

The role emphasizes independent design execution, advanced thermal management, FEA analysis, and rigorous design reviews to meet stringent military and aerospace requirements. US citizenship and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years mechanical design experience of subsystems, chassis/LRUs, circuit card assemblies and interconnects for aerospace/military customers.
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Experience with FEA thermal and structural modeling; knowledge of SolidWorks, Ansys, Flotherm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and development of high-power RF amplifiers, subsystems, and LRUs from concept through qualification, manufacturing, and volume production.
• Develop and execute product development plans to meet technical requirements, schedules, and cost objectives.
• Create innovative conceptual designs and detailed mechanical solutions, maintain BOMs.
• Design and implement thermal management solutions, including forced-air and liquid-cooled systems.
• Perform FEA for thermal, shock, and vibration performance of assemblies and structures.
• Prepare engineering drawings, documentation, and BOMs; conduct tolerance stack-up analyses using GD&T.
• Participate in peer reviews, internal design reviews, and customer-facing design reviews.
