Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze, build, document, and test RF/Microwave assemblies and electronics subsystems for rugged military applications. You will own mechanical architecture and packaging design, including enclosures, mounting, EMI control, and thermal paths, from proposal through production readiness.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with RF/Electrical, Test, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, supporting producibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Typically requires 5+ years in High Reliability, Aerospace, or Defense Electronics.
• Proficient with SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD 2D with GD&T and revision control.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, and documentation of electromechanical hardware for rugged military applications from proposal to production readiness.
• Own mechanical architecture and detailed packaging design (enclosures, frames, mounts, seals, EMI, thermal paths).
• Translate requirements into mechanical requirements, margins, verification plans, and design reviews.
• Design complex fixtures to support testing and advanced manufacturing techniques.
• Develop verification and qualification test plans; support product verification testing.
