Job summary

The Hong Kong Study Skills Research Institute is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Rapid Combat Capability (RCC) team in Grand Prairie, TX. This role involves owning the creation of mechanical design artifacts and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date design data.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with at least 5 years of experience and proficiency in PTC CREO and Windchill. The position offers flexible work schedules and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the creation, coordination, and release of mechanical design artifacts for RCC program.
• Generate and maintain 3-D solid models and 2-D drawings.
• Produce release-ready engineering documents for fabrication and procurement.
• Perform tolerance stack-up and fit analyses.
• Apply Model Based Design principles in CAD model.
• Coordinate design changes across cross-functional teams.
• Support Operations and Global Supply Chain with design data.
• Identify and implement innovative design solutions.
• Conduct design reviews and secure formal engineering release approvals.
• Maintain documentation compliance with DoD and Lockheed Martin standards.
