Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC on behalf of a client manufacturing temperature sensors, compression seal fittings, and cable assemblies seeks a Senior Product Design Engineer. The role combines mechanical design, analysis, prototyping, and customer/manufacturing collaboration to deliver reliable solutions.

Responsibilities include translating requirements, creating CAD models and drawings, performing calculations, and guiding design reviews to resolve issues and enable NPI and ECO activities.

Qualifications

• 3D CAD proficiency and creation of detailed drawings.
• GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Engineering change control and design verification.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into product specifications and design concepts.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and design documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis, and design risk assessments.
• Design components and assemblies considering temperature, pressure, sealing, interfaces, and manufacturability.
• Develop prototype and validation plans, evaluate test results, and refine designs to meet performance requirements.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews and resolve technical issues with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
• Support new product introduction, engineering changes, and troubleshooting of production or field performance concerns.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and improve design practices and reusable engineering knowledge.
