Job summary

Framatome North America seeks a Component Owner (mechanical design engineer) to design components used in nuclear fuel assemblies. You will create drawings, specifications, and parts lists, and lead qualifications with suppliers while ensuring manufacturability and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least five years of related experience, strong GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with engineering software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required.

Responsibilities

• Design drawings, product specifications, and parts lists.
• Lead qualifications and evaluate manufacturing nonconformances.
• Collaborate with suppliers and production teams to resolve fabrication concerns.
• Monitor component manufacturing and address real-time issues.
• Develop and qualify new mechanical designs for future fuel lines.
• Support design testing by defining requirements and writing reports.
• Adhere to government regulations and industry standards.
