Job summary

The role requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, 5+ years of industry experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering for industrial or manufacturing environments.
• PE license preferred.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI, NFPA, and OSHA codes.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs and deliverables for industrial systems and equipment.
• Prepare and review: Equipment layouts, Mechanical drawings and models, P&IDs, Mechanical datasheets, Piping and utility system designs, and Equipment specifications and technical documentation.
• Create 2D and 3D CAD models and detailed design drawings.
• Perform engineering calculations including: Pump and equipment sizing, Pressure drop analysis, Heat transfer calculations, Fluid flow analysis, Mechanical load evaluations.
• Coordinate designs with process, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
• Review vendor drawings and technical submittals for compliance with project requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and technical meetings with internal teams and clients.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable industry codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering standards, drafting practices, and design procedures.
• Assist with troubleshooting and design optimization for existing industrial systems.
